Established in 2015 by Paul Durose and Stephen Ullathorne, Gas Tag uses technology that helps landlords, housing associations and Councils combat illegal gas fitters and uphold gas safety regulations. Once a physical “tag” is installed at a property, software tracks all the gas appliances and any gas works carried out at the property.
It's a great, innovative business which tackles the very real issue of gas safety - it's no exaggeration to say their innovation will save lives.

Personally speaking, this also gives me great professional pride and satisfaction. Having been involved with Paul and Stephen since they had their ‘light bulb moment’ and the concept for Gas Tag was first thought up by them in 2015 and subsequently acting as legal adviser to Gas Tag right from day one since its inception, I am delighted to see how far they have come in such a short space of time and that their entrepreneurial spirit is bearing fruit – Gas Tag is one to watch and I am confident it will become a notable local success story.
Gas Tag, the pioneering technology company headquartered in Liverpool, has secured a multimillion-pound investment from a private equity firm in a deal that values the business well in excess of £20m.
