As today marks a new chapter in my career at Brabners, I wanted to take the opportunity to reflect and say a few words as I step up to my new role of Managing Partner.

I started my career as a trainee solicitor at Brabners 23 years ago and, having qualified, worked alongside John Schorah (now Managing Partner at Weightmans) in the Commercial team which then consisted of just the two of us.  Following John’s departure several years later, I stepped up and started building a Commercial team which is now more than 20-strong and spans all our offices.

Having invested my entire career in Brabners, it means a lot to me that I have been appointed Managing Partner and I am looking forward to taking all the elements of our business and making them work even better.

As Brabners continues to develop, we are ambitious for growth and progress but not at the expense of what makes us so unique – our culture.

My approach will always be to look out and lead and not just look in and manage.

Brabners’ strong and diverse client base is at the heart of our success and we will continue to evolve and innovate to ensure that we provide the best possible service to our clients.  The most important element of this service is of course our people and we have some of the best and most talented professionals here at Brabners.

I am really looking forward to my new role and want to take this opportunity to thank my family (especially my wife Ange), friends, partners and colleagues at Brabners (especially the Commercial team and Mark Brandwood who I am succeeding as Managing Partner) and, last but not least, my clients, so many of whom have shown me a tremendous amount of trust, support and encouragement.
