The squeeze on NHS dentists income continues. I can't remember the last time I saw any positive news reported on NHS income levels.

It is regularly reported that young dentists do not see themselves having a future in the NHS. Rather than seeing this as a wakeup call, the price paid by patients is increasing and the amount the dentists decreases.

People need to wake up to the fact that very existence of NHS dentistry is being undermined by the gradual drift of talented dentists to private practices. Finances need to be properly assessed to reward NHS dentists on a comparative basis to private dentists.
