BUPA are the second biggest owner of dental practices in the UK, and the biggest owner that is still actively growing. 

Whilst they face different challenges to smaller practices, it is easy to see ways to emulate their success. They have recently introduced a renewed focus on diversity within the business. This focus goes beyond ensuring that they have satisfied the legal requirement not to discriminate based on protected characteristics. Breaking down stereotypes in the workplace will empower the previously unheard voices and can only lead to positive change. 

The smaller business owner may not have the same budgets as BUPA, but a personal approach to becoming a more inclusive workplace can be extremely effective.
