Following on from a case against Network Rail earlier this year, the Government is launching a review on the impact of the invasive plant species has on the built environment.
It is has been stated that the plant has wiped £20 billion off the value of property in the UK due to a variety of factors which include the fear of the plant affecting the structural capacity of a building together with the cost of clean up and remediation when it has been identified.
The call for evidence ends on 31 December 2018.
