A 2019 study estimated that less than one per cent of all UK venture funding is awarded to all-female teams.
This study has inspired angel investors to join forces and form a new collective aimed at funding female-led businesses across the North West.
Jess Jackson from GC Angels has joined 28 of the North's most high-profile female investors to launch the new collective. The funding body is worth more than £450m with Fund Her North representing a significant amount of investment for women entrepreneurs.
Fund Her North will invest in female-founded businesses through female investors, as well as supporting entrepreneurs with a strong network in both new and established businesses.
Fund Her North will also use a data-led approach to shape the initiative and drive the objective of rebalancing the market.
Since 2018, female founders have raised £5.7m in total with the support of GC Angels, and Jess is an advocate for creating opportunities for female business owners.
Brabners recently teamed up with Jess at GC Angels to discuss the investment market and tech funding opportunities. The pre-recorded Q&A session will be available on our website soon.
Our team has extensive knowledge and a wide network of contacts so, if you have any funding requirements, please get in touch.
