About Me

Nick specialises in employment law.

Nick trained at the firm, qualifying in 1994, and has over 23 years' experience advising employers and senior executives. He heads our Employment department in Liverpool and is a member of the firm's Management Board. Nick acts for many leading employers including regional, national and international employers, FTSE 350 clients, household brands, registered social landlords, charities, medium and smaller enterprises.

Nick’s expertise covers all aspects of both contentious and non contentious employment law; including representation in the Employment Tribunals, Civil Courts and Appeal Courts, Executive terminations, business reorganisation, redundancy and TUPE, the preparation of director’s service agreements, employment contracts, policies and procedures and HR strategy and review.

In addition to his work with employers, Nick represents a large number senior executives and has developed a national reputation acting for senior executives in a significant a number of high profile, high value and complex claims including, in particular, breach of contract, whistle blowing, discrimination and bonus related claims.

Nick has spent time in Shanghai developing strong ties with Chinese law firms with a view to cross referring legal work and developing cross jurisdiction expertise.
